new layout and and audit for low carbon heating system

March 2009: A 60s detached house in the Cevennes - a region of south-central France, bought with extensive improvements in view. It has a pantile roof and thick stone walls. We have agreed a reorganisation of layout over both levels and the owner is investigating the optimal heating system from both cost and low CO2 point of view. This is likely to be air-source heat pump combined with wood-burning stoves. Materials will be locally sourced, to draw on local vernacular and retain low embodied energy.
