Planning permission was obtained by SB3A for flats on this site a few years ago but our client wished to examine alternatives that might be more viable financially and more successful from an ecological point of view. This scheme takes the form of four 2-bed units. External envelope would be thermally insulated to a high standard with solar water heating panels on roofs and collection of rainwater for irrigation. design: July 2008
